It's official. Clay won't be at Springfest. You all probably already knew that, but I'm really bummed! *sigh* ....covers computer and slinks off to bed...

I’ve been loving the AI2 reminiscences! Here are just a couple of mine… if you don’t mind.
TLS: Remember I told ya’ll that I didn’t get the chance to see many AI2uesdays first hand?… And I don’t think it was till much later… after I had already fallen completely over the edge for him that I finally came upon the download of “that moment.” I think I literally bucked off my chair and screamed simultaneously when I saw “that look”… with those eyes just mere inches away from mine. I mean, can you even imagine THAT moment as being … the icing? God, that is a good memory.
As for Grease… I am seriously trying to reconstruct my thought process about THAT moment. Believe me, I am forever caught in the “I wish I could have known then what I know now” mode. Being honest? Grease freaked me out a little bit at the time… but isn’t it funny that it is now one of my all time favorite performances? Looking back, his look was “perfection” that night. His hair?… never better! And the giggle at the end of that number is one of the few milliseconds that no one has ever been able to successfully cap to it’s fullest. It’s as if he were saying, “I just made a total damn fool of myself… but trust me, I know what I’m doing… you’ll see.” (And we WOULD) I won’t speak for anyone else, but for me … I just hadn’t GOTTEN him yet... I didn’t know yet how much he loves to… surprise and tease. But I was still intrigued… and there was something about that night that I just couldn’t put my finger on… (Haha Kat) Anyway, if I remember correctly my panties may have even gotten a little bit wet… but I don’t think at that point I had put two and two together. Because at my age all sorts of things take you by surprise. Little did I know that it would only be the BEGINNING of the endless “Clavlovian” syndrome.
Jill: I’m so happy that you were able to successfully pass through the gauntlet that was “Finale Night.” Personally, watching it has never really bothered me too much. I mean initially it did… (and the pink dressing room OF COURSE… even though he seemed OK with it, bless his heart.) But it was just a stupid game! I think I may have still felt sick about it the morning after, but in re-watching it I knew in my heart that he had really won. And I think he knew it too. Anyway, the night is now a moot point… and totally insignificant… as you said.
And I just thought about something I’ve been meaning to bring up forever and keep forgetting about. It used to drive me crazy how Clay would pass that mic back and forth between his hands all the time. Like on every other phrase of a song. It used to bother me ALMOST as much as Trenyce’s tapping fingers. Funny, how I don’t even notice it… at all… anymore. But it now occurs to me that he might have been doing it because of the “heat factor” involved. Kind of like a hot potato, ya know? And yea, I so totally wanna be that mic.
Lisa M: I loved it the first time… and even more the second. You’ve got a true gift gurrl.
Happy Birthday Pats! Love you!

*waves to all the Broads* howdy, gals. RL's been majorly kicking me in the you-know-what lately, so my Broadly connections have suffered. So, I'm posting to let y'all know I'm still alive with my Internet connection intact. Another installment of "A Song For Beth" is coming soon, so if you want to get in on all the clayfic fun, email me. Here endeth the shameless plug of my work, and I'm just glad to be back. Kudos to all the beautiful new MPs which I have dutifully drooled over, and pam in FL I love you forever. I know you tried, I just guess I'm not meant to know Clay personally. Excuse me while I go slit my wrists now ;)

We're painting and putting new carpet in the computer room, so I had to take the plastic off the computer tonight to catch up on the pps. I got on the Pensacola Springfest homepage, and YIKES! Clay is no longer listed as an entertainer there, and his picture has been replaced with a band. Amy? Frances? Anyone know anything?? Now I'll go back to the purple pages to catch up. But, I'm SKEERED! I want my Clay and I want him NOW! Pensacola....what gives?

Delu: Yes, I seem to be confused in general these days. It was TES not GMA.
Nelle and Juliann:Thanks for the link/info. Got it!
Kelly in NY: I know I asked for it but "The Cler" kinda' scares me, too.
Suzy P: I'll give it a try...
Clay and Chell make a frisky pair,
She likes to run her fingers through his hair,
They frolic and romp without a care,
When they're done there are KK crumbs everywhere.

Finally, the count thing is looking up. I actually got in six votes today in about 14 minutes. Yesterday only 2 in the entire half hour. Now If we can just hang on for a few more days, then one big push, we'll have him at number 1 for retirement. I have been thinking about that awful show. A lot of videos just slide off the count and never get retired. And I think that Clay has never been lower than #7. Am I right about this? And has never slid into the bottom half of the countdown? If I am correct , this in itself is quite a feat and we should be proud. Having said this I want badly to have Clay's second video retire at #1 just like the first one.And then I want a break for a few days from the voting and being forced to watch that trash to see where he winds up on the count. Chell: Are You confusing GMA with The Early Show? Thats where the interview with Clay and his Mom was this morning. I'm sure it will be up on Airplay Central soon if it isn't already. Lisa M; I loved that red jacket. I thought it was perfect for the song that night. I considered it a sort of costume if you will. I didn't consider it as something he would wear out in public, However now that we know just a "bit" more about him I can see him doing that too. It was not as bad as the Fugly jacket he wore on tour.Even that grew on me. Maybe I'm just sick..?? Jannet: K-lo's Cd was due out on tuesday. I ordered mine from Amazon, and it arrived yesterday. I think I like it. But I must say I like the duet with Quianna on WY better than the one with k-lo. I just think their voices blend better. Clay seems to pull his voice in a bit to blend with whomever he is with. And his voice was allowed to soar more with Quianna than K-lo. MaryAnn; If you decide you want to order MOAM from Singapore E-mail Me. I have already ordered mine.Is there something sick in ordering a total of 17 moam's? Honest I only have one spare left.Well, till the singapore shipment gets here.

Late coming to the PP's, but I would like to wish PATS a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! She was the first Broad who gave me a shout out. I may have missed going to the best concert of them all in St Paul, but I listened to her wise words and am now going to Bethlehem. Once again thanks PATS!!

SUZY P- This one's for you!!
Clay and Amy went to bed.
To be a "long" night, they'd just been wed.
With an EF, nothing was said
Totally satisfied, in the morning I was dead.....:)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY PATS!! I can't wait to meet you in musikfest!!
Grease Night was the NIGHT!!! I had always liked him but omg.....those notes, that shake, the confidence...I guess I've always liked the "nerdy" guys who can make me laugh.....isn't that what all the ugly girls say? hahaha...To be honest, I never have had a "hunk" as a boyfriend...nor a hubby......he's just a cutie who made me laugh......I guess that's why I adore clayton so much....and that voice.....gah.....but Grease night is the word for me.....
