ARRGH!
After dialing for 10 minutes and then holding for nearly 30, I finally got through to a live person at Dover Downs. He said they had been "a little busy" and had no idea they would "get this kind of respnse to THIS concert! (his emphasis)From all over the country!" DUH! When are these people going to wake up?
Anyway, there's always bad news. Paid $200 for a ticket and find that it's not assigned seating! Nooooo. One is seated on a first-come/first-served basis by the maitre d'. Whoo, boy. You pay big bucks for a good seat and you still gotta grease someone's palm so you're not in the wings. So frustrating!
Oh well...I had good luck at the Kansas City BAF thing. I'm hoping my luck holds in Dover.
Who else is going?

Awwwwwwww Suzy P, I'm tearing up at your story with both swelled heart and laughter. I envy you. Don't be afraid to go back.
I had two little Clay moments in Target yesterday - one I can't really say because, well...because it's related to the current story I'm writing, but the other - right after the first one happened, I spotted an endcap with all the fixings for snow cones. A word on a bottle caught my eye and I went over to read it better. It was a syrup bottle - GONZO GRAPE. EEE!
The boy is everywhere in my life and I love it.
from Cella - jonesing for a grape snowcone served by Clayton Aiken - hmmm there could be a story in that...

My school is usually a very calm, relaxing place. The kids are well- behaved but yesterday things were just weird. I had about five kids in my office for misbehaving. I commented to my co-workers that it must be a full moon. I don't usually believe in that sort of thing but I swear the moon affects people's behavior. Anyhoo, last night I decided to go outside to see if my theory was correct. It was! After I laughed and mentally patted myself on the back, I started to wonder how this phenomenon affects our Boyfriend. I'd like to do some research on that. I wonder if the gov't will give me a grant...
Mich VA and Mary/MD: I am absolutely convinced there's something fishy about TRL. I doubt that any other fans have pooled their efforts the way we have. I guess they have the teeny-boppers to worry about, though. After all, we only watch that crap when HRH is on. They have to cater to their true fans. Either way, I will continue to vote when I can and anxiously await the retirement. If we all continue to do that, I don't think we have to worry about CLay dropping off the countdown. At the same time, in the whole scheme of things (e.g. ending the war, getting AI3 off the air), the world wouldn't stop turning if he did. Hell, it may even give him a reason to come "punish" us (yeh, I know I could have been voting while I was writing this, I'm on it).
Suzy P: That "kid" obviously doesn't "get" the gift that he's been given- poor thing. Unfortunately, he has a long way to go in the "Clattitude" department. But, isn't gas like $8.00/gallon now? You must have really needed to escape.

HA! You broads make waking up in the middle of the night and not being able to go back to sleep FUN! Thanks to Suzy P for the BEER. I was a little concerned about you, however. Pulling out the hose before one is fulfilled- I mean filled - can be dangerous! And Sharon in Edmonds, I missed AI tonight because I FORGOT! Now, what does that tell you? It sounds as if your recap of the judges' attitudes was more entertaining than the show, anyway. I think Sherry is on to something with that Pooty Finger award for S1***n. Finally, thanks to Lila for the Sophie Tucker quote. What a quintessential broad she was! Oh, I was talking about Sophie; but it applies to Lila in the present tense too.
Nope, I don't think I'll be going to sleep anytime soon.

WHERE IS EVERYONE??? Being forced to watch AI by Mr. Sharon, because if I don't, I'm a poor sport, I was curious to see how the voting was going so at 9:20 I call to vote for LaToya,(the only one who has any class on the show)and the line was open, out of curiosity I called all the others,THEY WERE ALL OPEN!!Don't tell Me 24,000,000 people voted. "And the person going home tonight issssssssss ALL OF YOU -AS NOBODY VOTED AND YOU ALL SUCK" LADIES AND GENTLEMAN, DUE TO LACK OF INTEREST AND NO TALENT THIS YEAR AND SEEINGS HOW THE JUDGES CAN'T EVEN STAND IT, WE ARE FINISHING OUT THE YEAR WITH THE ONLY PERSON FIT TO GRACE THIS STAGE. THE ONE, THE ONLY, CLAY AIKEN!!!!! Oh well, nice dream anyhow. If you didn't see IT tonight you really missed a good laughfest, Ms P***a was talking on helium, and crying-PLEEEEZ- and she looked like they used a trowel to put on her makeup, Sl***n just shakes his head through the whole thing wishing He had a smoke and R***y keeps trying to convince us that these DAWGS are great. I DON'T THINK SO! I will not watch that crap again even if it means divorce court. LMAO over the MP, have printed it out and read a number of times and each time it gets better, you can just picture these people doing what it says they are doing. KUDOS AND BRAVO, it's one of the best. Now that i have finished yelling at the tv, and the PPs, should I send this, Oh what the h*ll, nobody is home tonight anyhow, here goes---

Awwww SUZY P, Your story had me laughing out loud, and aching softly for you (us) too.
I thought about it and realized that I might have left before the $15 rang up on the pump too. And I would so prefer to be able to laugh in a situation like that. Would a man be mortified if he were caught desiring an 18 year old girl? Now, I'm not saying that it is good or right for men to desire 18 year olds, but they certainly would not turn and run in dismay if they were called on it. A man would probably puff out his chest and laugh about it.
So I am going to practice puffing out my rather impressive chest. Want to join me?
And oh, yeah.....not fer nothin'... but keep in mind that old Sophie Tucker joke about 25 going into 50 alot more than 50 goes into 25. Feel free to substitute numbers as required.
