Paula in the Loo, this is for you: The link to the Atlantic City discussion at the Clayboard. So if any broad is in need of this link, please bookmark it! Of course, Clay is filling his schedule before he completely unfurls his map, so my chance of seeing him this summer is looking slimmer than Clayton at a White House dinner *sigh*, but I can still help my fellow broads in their quest for tickets.
Hubby just saw the charge for my Josh Groban tickets, and could not believe it. So he finally asked what I had to shell out for my two days of Clay. And the man who never seems to be able to add 2 + 2 could suddenly accurately convert American dollars into Canadian and say "WHAT!!?" So, no, Dayton is probably not on my agenda. And no, mr. pam didn’t want to see my fame-ho moment on the jumbotron. But he actually watched some AI3 with me and admitted "There’s no Clay this year, is there?" Maybe he was noticing the diminished entertainment value or maybe he was just relieved that there was no chance of me going further off the deep end.
But unfortunately for him, he then had to listen to pages 32-37 of my dissertation on why Clay is the most awesome performer evah, along with appendix D on how interesting it is that they didn’t do a Big Band night for season two like they did in seasons one and three. Could it be that TPTB knew Clay would completely outshine their pretty pet?
I promise to come up with something lecherous for tomorrow. Now yesterday, Clabby said that Clay always wears glasses in my dreams because he’s so far away he can’t see me, but I prefer to think he’s always ready to TALK NERDY TO ME!! (Thanks, Christina!)

Time for a BEER (Broads Embarrassing Experience Report). I’ve been caught with my pants down in front of the computer, caught stroking the emergency brake, caught kissing my tour program, caught falling down on my…umm…seat at the concert, and caught star struck at the mere sight of Cluppy, but this just makes all of that pale in comparison.
I’m at the gas station and for once, have cash. So I go inside and wait my turn in line. There were two cashiers, but there were a few people in the way so I didn’t really get a good look at either of them. About a minute later, both cashiers opened up at once, but I was eyeing the candy and didn’t notice. Then I hear, "Ma’am? I can help you over here." I look over, ready to give him a look for calling me Ma'am, and freeze dead in my tracks. "Eyeing the candy" suddenly turned into "eye candy." There, behind the counter, silhouetted in the light of the setting sun like an angel, was Clayton Aiken. No, not Clay Aiken the 25-year-old man with the fugly jacket, but Clayton Aiken the teenage nerdy kid with glasses, sideburns and - get this - a shell necklace. Tall, skinny, and OMG just prime for a do-over…I mean make-over. I stared at him for what I’m sure, to him, seemed like an eternity. I hear "ummm, ma’am? I said I can help you over here," but I still don’t move. Both of them were now looking at me like I’m from Mars. "Excuuuuuse meeee, ma’am?" I finally snap out of my trance and was suddenly very aware of myself, especially the dropped jaw. I closed it and said, "sorry...uuhhhh...oh yeah, $15 on 10 please" and plop my keys down on the counter while I fish for the $20 I should have had out. He looks at me nervously and takes the money. I notice the woman cashier eyeing my concert keychain and the mini WWJD bracelet I have on there and snatch them back up and stick them in my pocket, trying very hard to look natural. "Oh, I get it now," she whispers under her breath. I look over at her and she winks at me. "He does." I didn’t respond. I was not going to have this conversation in front of this kid. So I just took my change and headed out. About the time I get to my car I hear the kid say, quite loudly I might add, "Not this again...I do not!..... Just quit it!" A minute later I hear, and this is the clincher - "Ten bucks! You think ten bucks is enough to get me to ask that old lady out!" I didn’t even wait for the full $15 worth of gas. I pulled out the hose and took off, jaw dropped open once again. This ride home, I couldn’t bear to listen to Clay. I tried, but his touch only brought back the pain.
I don’t know which was worse, having a nerdy 18-year-old in a gas station stop me dead in my tracks and knowing why or being called an old lady. All right, so I’m twice his age. But, old? Sheesh.

Cotton, we're going to have to make a bronze statue of that pooty finger and award it to Simon... well, maybe we should just bronze a poot for him. Laugh of the Day: Simon tells a contestant tonight that she gets a 10 for her "Broadway" style performance for Big Band Night tonight. Don't forget to leave an escape hole for that bronzed poot. I want to make sure that Simon gets a good whiff so he can wake up and quit talking out his A**. Oh, yeah! Kat, that Main Page made me pee my pants.

philly sue, are you going to the atlantic city nj show?? i was thinking of going to that. i am out in denver co.. but will fly out there. that is if i can get good seats. my mother grew up in atlantic city nj. i spent summers there. great times there. the sea breeze and clay and me. that sounds good to me. why has clay not signed yet?? i called atlantic city nj to verify all of this a week ago. called twice in one night. good just to talk to somebody out in that area. my mother and father met there right after ww2. i was the first of five kids. they met on a blind date. so cool. i talked to somebody at the hotel. i said on clays web site it list both dates so why no official thing on it yet?? i guess i will have to check each day. are a lot of people going?? need to find a hotel, ect. carol

My poor computer finally came home from Rehab. It was completely Clack-free for the first time in over a year. When it started, there was a beautiful picture of a green field and bright blue sky. It told me that is what a Clack-free life looks like. Well, being the enabler that I am, I stuck a disk into the poor thing and uploaded my Clay/Trent desktop picture. I know, I should be ashamed of myself, but I just can't help it.
Kat I love the C-Span MP...it's so freakin' funny!
Well, I never did get completely caught up on the PP's from the past few days. I guess I'll dive in again tomorrow. I still have a ton of e-mail to read. Night Broads!

Sorry - meant to say that tickets for Ceasers will be available through Ticket Master and that it's not official because Clay has not signed the contract yet.

Pejay - check your mail. I often am too lazy to include my email in posts.
Paula - Thanks for the "Tips" - I never thought of the double dipper. Also - I saw the thread on the Clayboard and it is a good one to keep an eye on since a contributor is a Ceasers insider.
I'm just amused at how the folks at Ceasers are so unprepared for the huge response they're getting for Clay. But they're learning. I'm also happy that this will be a great opportunity for people who normally may not go to a Clay concert to see him (the high rollers who get the comps)and so Clay will gain a whole new group of fans.
I'm in on the "Talk Nerdy To Me" shirts! - Christina, that is the phrase of the day!
Kat - laughing my butt off!! That was just too funny! I'm just not clear - did that actually happen or did you make it up? Because that's exactly what I expected to happen.
I confessed it to Cella in an email and now it's time to go public - I'm a Barry-vert. I am officialy crazy about Barry Manilow! So now I'm in Cella's shoes - ( about 6 1/2, right?) crazy about both Clay and Barry! He is so cute and what a performer. I would love to see them on stage together.
