FILLY SUE I read your post about your conversation with the Rep from Caesers...and had to laugh. I loved her advice: "it helps to tip the maitre'd..." It helps? It HELPS??? You wonder why you were seated at the Mafia table the last time? Yikes. It's probably because you didn't tip....LOL Anyway, get in line EARLY. If you are with someone else, you can take turns returning to the casino floor where you can continue to lose money. Decide ahead of time just how much you love The Clayton (that's easy) and put a dollar-amount on that. If the maitre'd knows or senses that seats up front are going to be in demand, he is going to be expecting to receive some "heavy grease". Also, remember that these guys are used to dealing with "high rollers". Break out the big bucks and remember a "buck" is $100 in casino parlance. Decide how much you will spend and divide that amount in two and put half in Pocket #1 and half in Pocket #2. Fold it nicely with the denomination of the bill showing. (They REALLY don't want to wait while you rummage in your purse.) When the maitre'd approaches you, tell him (or her) that you would really like a seat up close and DISCREETLY grease his palm with the contents of Pocket #1. See where he takes you. If that location is fine, you're done. However, you may decide you want to be closer. Do not sit down, and look longingly up front and say,"You got anything closer?" and proceed to deposit the contents of Pocket #2 in his palm. (NEVER give all of your grease at one time...you may even decide on Pocket #3 but you usually have about 2 chances.) Good luck!

DISCLAIMER: Of course, the above info has not been gleaned from actual experience, mind you. Just hearsay.....really. *grin*

*Yay Carol* Glad your tickets arrived. That gives me hope. I checked with Fed Ex this morning and my tix should be here tomorrow.

Then I just have to put them somewhere safe til July...and not wear them out by holding them and looking at them all the time.

THANK YOU SUZ IN MD: This is a prime example of why I've made LBFCA my online home. Upon hearing my desperation about the new filter at work and my inability to access the pp's, Suz in MD came to my rescue. She is emailing the pp's to me throughout the day and posting for me when the need arises (hmm, the thought of things rising just gets me all kinds of excited). Anyhoo, I think Suz deserves the "Broad of the Year" award!

I would still like to find a way around that d*mn filter. If anyone has ideas, please email me. Thanks.

Amy E: I'm so glad you are able to work out RL and attend Musikfest. I can't wait to see you.

Mary in MD: Sorry, I can't access MTV anymore either but there's nothing wrong with my cell phone so you know where I'll be at 4:30.

OK, I admit it, I am a huge fan of PRINCE ROGERS NELSON and CLAYTON HOLMES AIKEN. Time for a little comparison.

VOICE - Hands down, Clay. Ain't that what it's all about Broads! Vocal range, intonation, you name it, he's got it!

STAGE PRESENCE - Have to give this one to Prince. Of course, he has 25 years of practice under his belt.

SPEAKING OF UNDER HIS BELT - Clayton, wins again. Waldo rules!

SONGWRITING - Prince......I'm waiting for Clay to pick up his poison pen. He's still a newbie in this department.

DANCE - Brother's got that one locked up.

GRINDAGE - Toss up! Although I'll give a nudge to Clay, he's a double jointed freak of nature and I'm sure it's not just in his knees! Oh yeah!

EYES - Again, a toss up. Both have beautiful eyes. I give it to Clay by an eyelash! What wonders they are!

INSTRUMENTATION - Prince, he can play anything....strum on my guitar strings any time you want to, honey!

FACIAL HAIR - I love the Yeti look. Clay, grow back the beard! The man can grow one in two days, I swear!

STANDING O(and I'm not talking ovation) - Both of them.

CLOTHING - Prince is a walking peacock!

HOW THEY WEAR THE CLOTHES - Clay's a tall, lean, sex machine!

BOOTAY - Prince. Sorry Broads, butt it's the truth.

VALUE SYSTEM - Clay, no doubt, although Prince has changed his stripes. Prince, you can't erase the past, you have a reputation to uphold and what a reputation it is!

There you go Broads, Clayton wins by a nose, and oh my, such a lovely nose! I'm all verklempt, discuss amongst yourselves.

Gotta go.......toodles.

Just popping in for a sec to say Hi and share something funny. First of all - HUGS to Karen N and all Broads in need of one. Now here's my story:

My daughter works for a chain of restaurants and gets moved around from place to place but still comes in contact with people she worked with previously. She told me last night that what they usually say to her is not, "So how's it going?" but instead,"So how's your mom and Clay?" Like we're a couple. My daughter doesn't find it too funny, but I do.

On the Summer Tour Front - I talked to a rep from Ceasers in AC - she says the tickets will only get you in the door and that seating is first come first served, and it helps to tip the maitre'd. Sounds like it will be very interesting. She also said that in all the years she's been there this is the most number of calls about a performance they have ever received. The just don't know. The thing is though, I took my mom to see Frank at the Sands in AC in '92. I don't remember tipping anyone because I didn't know you should, but we were seated right against the stage in the center. It was really funny because we were at the Mafia table. I just don't know why we were seated there.

I am really goofing off today for the first time in a month. I miss you all, but need to get back to business.

Irene - Thanks for the CDs, videos and your great company Saturday! It was a real Big Clack Attack!
